a mounted Catasetum experiment.

comes round two

thoughts before starting
1- it works, with more water it would be better
2- areca palm is a GREAT analog for tree fern BUT it loses all structural uses when it does
3- gutter guard is ugly and not strong and i hate the way it looks but it did work and holds the material perfectly

i used a 2x4 and cut a 24" piece and 4 10" pieces....10" plastic basket cut to allow the post

Neat! Cool to see rockwool cubes, they're a unique media that people dont try very often.

Unrelated question, what would you call those stepped metal shelves in the background of the first pic?
