Ah, one of the best things about orchid growing is the people you meet along the way! So many of these clonal names are for really great folks. Hopefully I can hear more stories from you about Pat!

Yes, section Heteranthe (e.g. Cyc. cooperi, barthiorum, herrenhusanum, etc.) has really distinctive scent that I absolutely love. Doesn't smell like any other orchids, but I don't know how to describe it!

Yes, it is also from this year's SVO's list.

BTW, while researching the ancestry of the seedling, I realized that the clone "Sunset Valley Orchids" does not have an FCC. I contacted Fred Clarke who confirmed that there is a typo on the labels and they should read "Sunset Valley Orchids III".

Oooh so nice!! Hope my seedling from this bunch blooms next year.
Steve I did some looking around since you mentioned the green clone and I did find some pictures of a clone called 'Manzanita'. I wonder if anyone still has it. Surely...

I do miss Kavanaru's posts. I honestly don't know what happened to him! He was (is?) a Venezuelan living in Europe and most likely imported that plant from South America.
