I received this plant in the spring of 2020 from SVO. Growth and flowering were great. Dormancy was late, but new, vigorous growth appeared in the spring. Under cattleya light, the plant got plenty of water and fertilizer, I think! We had 14 inches in July in Massachusetts! No spike this year. Sounds like these plants have a mind of their own?

Don't despair. That plant is not going into dormancy yet, it looks like. When it starts to end its growth period, you may see a spike start. The blooms can easily come after all the leaves are gone.
