Default Bud Blasting (Coryanthes and Stanhopea)

Hey everyone. My Stanhopea and Coryanthes have been growing very well and often bloom. However sometimes, they will get to the very point of blooming and then just drop their buds. The last plant to do this was a three bud spike on a Coryanthes macrantha that bloomed just fine in the Spring. I have been trying to keep growing conditions constant when in spike and it seems almost random when the blooms open and when they blast. Does anyone have any tips to prevent blasting? Thanks!

Culture: mesh hanging
Media: sphagnum with a little perlite
Watering: approx every three days when still a bit moist
Temps- seasonal high- 81-72 seasonal low 72-62
Humidity- 70-80%
Fertilizing- MSU twice a month (considering raising this)

Both genera need plenty of water. Water them every day so the medium never dries at all.
