It’s Stanhopea occulata. I mistakenly put this under my gongora thread but could not delete.

Yes I really would like to see this bloom but if it skipped a year I wouldn’t mind; the stanhopea plant alone is so attractive.

just fYI- ecuagenera states that all of their plants are bloom size. generally i find that they sell large plants and so i would trust that this is capable of blooming at this size.

i am excited for you as the pics of this flower are insane!!!

Thanks for posting that DC, I never noticed that and good to know. I mostly buy anthuriums from them so I wasn’t in the mindset of considering bloom size. So far, the orchids I have received from them have been a very good size for the price paid.

Finally after 2yrs my occulata 'Stan Doc' AM/AOS x self put out a bloom. Flowers were lovely...just need more!
