Default First bloom on Clowesetum Melana's Daughter, and it sure was worth the wait!

At last, the plant is in full bloom!!! This is a cross from Sunset Valley Orchids (Cl. Rebecca Northen 'Grapefruit Pink' x Ctsm. Melana Davison 'Bombshell'), that I purchased from the now out of business Elsner Orchids in Germany. I have been babying this plant for the past 3 years and I was so happy to see not just 1, but 3 spikes developing, with a total of 39 flowers.

The fragrance of this plant is amazing. It has a very pleasant citrus-lemon scent, and up until a few days ago I had to stick my nose in the flowers to smell anything. Now I can smell it from a couple feet away.

I am so in love with this plant, I think it has become my absolute favorite in my collection. The colors are fantastic, and I really like how the flowers are densely clustered on the spike, yet still far enough apart that each one is fully visible.

I can't help but wonder if there wasn't a label mix up somewhere. I know that seedling populations are extremely variable, but this plant looks nothing like any of the others I'm found online. All of them are either yellow, cream or white colored, with some pink tones, but there are zero spots and no densely clustered blooms.
