Cycnodes Chiriqui
This is a first bloom. I received this from SVO in 2019. It had 13 blooms on 2 spikes. This is the only pic that I was happy with. The one bloom had a yellow stripe on the lip. The color was more uniform between the petals and lip than what I was expecting. The petals I thought would be more bronze.

Very nice! I like how glossy it is. Does it smell like menthol?

I am terrible at smelling orchids, flowers in general if I'm being honest. I can only smell really strong flowers. I've been told to try different times of the day.
So, an answer to your question... Maybe? Lol

It looks a lot like Cycnodes Wine Delight - do you think it has been mislabelled?

A lot of the Cycnodes look similar.... if it came from Sunset Valley Orchids, I strongly suspect that is correctly labeled. SVO does their own breeding. Different seedlings from the same pod can be really different.

Definitely CHiriqui. I bought it as a seedling and SVO did not make a Taiwan Gold cross that year. Not sure if they ever have.

I emailed Fred Clarke at SVO. He said all the Chiriqui he has kept have the bronze/brown petals with the maroon lip.
He said it is definitely Chirqui, but a rare coloration. Maybe the color will be normal next year.
