SVO 8184 Mormodes New Hybrid Male
Default SVO 8184 Mormodes New Hybrid

I received this October 29 of this year. It is Mormodes (Morm.) Exotic Treat 'SVO' AM/AOS x Morm. Aftermath 'Killer Color'.

The growth was almost mature but there was no spike. These flowers opened while I was out of town over the weekend. I am home now during daylight, but the plants in my sunroom have been in shade all afternoon. This has a little bit of scent remaining, a combination of floofy Cattleya and spiciness a tiny bit like paperwhite narcissus.

There are 3, 2" flowers on the spike. A lower branch aborted. The remaining spike is coming from the node above the origin of this spike.

That saturated orange is pretty amazing. And that spike on the way will give you a special treat when everything else is winding down. That'll teach you to leave town...

Splendid. I also am very taken with the color.
