If they're growing well, they're getting what they need. If they seem stressed, then maybe less light. Moisture and humidity come with the territory where you live, though, that's the biggle. (Here, "shady" also makes "moist" easier to maintain)
There are some warm growing species... you likely can grow them all.

I love bill x william...actually, Stan. ecornuta... looked it up, theoretically it should be able to grow where I am, haven't seen it. But definitely likes warm over much of its habitat.
I have a Stan embreeii that bloomed only once in quite a few years... I think it needs warmer. This year it looks better, but still no sign of flowers. The others I'm not familiar with... likely warmer growers that people around here just don't grow.

Also the snake bulbo is putting out a new growth! So that’s only a year or so away with the summers here.

Thanks bunches! But let it get big and put on a show first... and think positive thoughts about my Stan embreeii... I thought maybe I would get a spike but it was a growth instead... I'll take it, when happy enough to grow (and keep its leaves) it'll likely eventually get to the "flower" point.

This was labeled "Stan. bucephalus". It's from a selfing of a an awarded plant that was registered under that name... and awards tend to be cast in concrete. It is, however, a synonym for Stan. oculata. Fragrance is light and quite delightful. It didn't tease me the way Stan. tigrina did... this one progressed quickly, opened when I expected it to.

No more in the queue at the moment... Stan wardii, if it decides to bloom this year, won't be doing anything until late September if history is any guide.

Beautiful blooms Roberta. I am researching stanhopea as I’d like to try growing them. I actually have in my shopping cart for ecuagenera the 2 that you mention above: occulata and wardii. Do they both have large foliage? I actually find the foliage and form in hanging baskets to have as much ornamental horticultural value as the blooms.

Foliage is pretty big. To keep it that way, you have to keep them quite damp - if they sense "drought" they drop leaves .

That is very nice Roberta.
Stan oculata was my first stanhopea. Got from a neighbor who had no idea what to do with it and what was amazing about it was the fragrance of the blooms.
shade house was 50 ft away from my patio door and as soon as I opened the patio door the fragrance from that plant (50 ft plus away) would knock me over. awesome plant, thanks for posting
