Default Temps regarding new growth rate

I have been growing in northern Delaware for a couple seasons. I always noticed that my Ctsms seem to be much smaller in May than most I see posted on here. I am very much a beginner and grow on a windowsill until the outdoor temps are warm enough.

I have recently had to move to the coast of NC, just north of the border with SC. I still have most of my Ctsm inside here on a windowsill. This is mainly so that they do not get rained on.

I set my thermostat in Delaware to 68 in the winter and early spring to keep the gas cost down. Here at my folks place in NC, they have already begun to be able to open their windows and the house stays somewhere in the low 70s, about a 5 degree difference. I placed the plants on a windowsill in the upstairs bedroom that gets good morning light, this room is also a few degrees warmer than the rest of the house, probably upper 70s.

Man, that 5-10 degrees difference has really made them take off growing. They have grown close to an inch in the 7 days I have been here. What a difference temps make!

They really do!

I haven't had any bloom for me yet. I am hoping that this is the year. I always buy seedlings to keep the cost down. Fingers crossed!
