My current setup has a temp range of 65F night to 73-74F during the day. Humidity is a constant 70% with ample air movement. Will this temp range be suitable for Ctsm. and the like? From what I’ve gathered this may be on the low end for them. Thoughts?
I'm with Subrosa on temperature... actually my cutoff is more like 55 deg F, more as a practical matter - as leaves get big, the greenhouse gets crowded and sun is better outside.
Thanks for all the input! I figured the night temps around 65F were good but had read they like it very hot in the day, but it sounds like the range I’m providing should bd adequate. This is a tent setup so conditions are controllable though I’m looking for a middle of the road that can accommodate plants on either end of the warm temp growers’ range. Again, many thanks to all who chimed in!
I had my plants down to the low 40's this winter with no ill effects. They have to be dry anytime the temp goes below 55, otherwise rot may set in. A night time temp of 65 is plenty warm!
Ctsm. Dapper Dots ‘BJ’. Seems pretty hardy. Has 4 nice bulbs. Looking forward to watching it blow up. Sounds like they appreciate frequent watering. Do you let them dry out at all between waterings?
