Thanks! I've actually got another one that's even nicer. Can't wait to get that one judged!

I do not mean to hijack but i have a question for a judge getting their plants judged...

i assume that you are not allowed to judge your own plants in a show BUT do you ever judge your own plants to see what you WOULD score them and then have you ever disagreed with another judge's assessment of your plant?

i used to watch boxing with my Zeda ( grandpa) and he was a real fight fan and taught me how to score the fight and he would always yell at the 'crooked' judge who was "so wrong he's either blind or fixed!"

i know it is not supposed to be subjective but i assume.....

Correct, we are not allowed to judge our own plants!

That said, I usually do an internal calculation of what the plant would score if it weren't mine. And yes, I've disagreed with judges regarding an assessment of my plant. However, I've never voiced that disagreement! I've only internally thought, "well this plant will just have be even better next year!!" and gone about my business! lol

Make sure you give it a good sniff when it's in full bloom!
