I only have one Catasetum alliance plant, which is of course FDK After Dark 'SVO Black Pearl'. I moved from Oklahoma to Texas about 18 months ago, and I notice that this one's growth cycle has shifted. In Oklahoma, it bloomed in October, and by march the new growth was already several inches tall. Now, here in Texas, it blooms in February. It just finished blooming, so I expect to see the new growth coming along any day now. Not super related to this topic, but just an interesting observation how slightly different climates can have a large impact on plant growth cycles.
