Catasetum with new growth and old bulb getting soft
Default Catasetum with new growth and old bulb getting soft

Hello nice people! I need some help with my Cyc.Wine Delight. It came out of dormency and has a new growth, so I'm going to put it in a sphagnum moss, but the older bulb is starting to get soft from the top. I suppose it is just too old and is going to die. So what should I do-to remove it now, before potting or to wait until it is all shrivellled? If I put it in a pot now, can I remove it later? But maybe then I can damage the new roots? What should I do? Also maybe it is discussed before, but do you prefer sphagnum moss or anything else?
Thank you in advance for your help!...an I appologize for my English
