Default Acineta beyrodtiana

Greetings,

I believe this orchid belongs in this alliance for many reasons; folliage, flower habit and others. It doesn't have some of the characteristics of the flowers others do however. So maybe it belongs elsewhere but I can't figure it out, so if anyone knows please help me with that.

Anyway, my question is does anyone know what the flowering time is for this orchid? I know it's a shade loving, cool grower, that flowers down through the pot and has fragrant, waxy, long lasting flowers. And it's a native of Columbia. That is all I know. Any other knowledge of this orchid would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Randy

Randy, Jay's posting shows IOSPE PHOTOS and the only thing of value I get out of this is cool-growing and epiphyte. This tells me you could grow it mounted, but it needs cool temps year round. That's all I can find.

I got my info from Jays too. I did some other searches and I did get that it flowers in summer and some species need a semi-dry resting period in winter. But there wasn't much information out there.

Thanks,
Randy
