Thanks for sharing that DC. Just to confirm ----- you really did water it a bit, right? These details help a lot toward getting more info together about watering plants coming out of dormancy.

It looks like - as long as temperature is good and the roots get the oxygen they need, and good air-flow, then water on new roots won't do anything bad to the orchid. Roots (young or old) of catasetum coming out of dormancy aren't expected to be affected negatively by water when growing conditions are 'good', since after-all - they're roots.

Your setup looks good DC. Nice orchid growth activity.
