Please note that you cannot grow any orchids under LED lights.
One needs to use special light tubes which are designed for the purpose (search on www).

That's definitely not true. There are a ton of LEDs which grow magnificent orchids (and other plants).

You sir will never, EVER be allowed near my orchids! You see, they've never heard that, and thrive all winter long under LEDs. The last thing I need is someone telling them they're supposed to die!

That used to be the case in general.

Advances in LED development eventually led to the 'broad-spectrum/full-spectrum' ones, which can be used for growing orchids.

Most old-school regular LEDs from years back couldn't be used successfully for orchid or plant growing.

The ones that should do the trick are known as "LED grow lights".

You might be amazed at what you can grow under a $5 120W equivalent 4000°K LED floodlight designed to illuminate landscaping.

Absolutely. The broad spectrum ones ----- were the ones being referred to previously. The 'grow lights' are pretty much those ones.
