I must be doing something right, this beauty is sending out another bloom spike for me.

Well it opened up its buds early Saturday morning and what a beaut!

There are 12 flowers on the spike and the fragrance is much more noticeable now than when it first bloomed for me last year. As faint as it is, it smells like pansies-roses to me, very lovely scent.

One thing I have noticed that since it opened up its water consumption has increased dramatically. I just watered it on Thursday and its bulbs were quite plumped up, and by today they were rather ribbed. I believe that's partly what ended the last blooming, I didn't keep it watered enough and the blooms fell off after a few days. Either that or they're not as long bloomed as other orchids.

Very nice! I love the dark ones. Gongoras and all their relatives are notorious for their bizarre though short-lived blooms.
