I have a bulbo rufinum, this reminds me of it as well. I think you will be happy with the flowers in any case, can't wait to see your pictures!

Oh no, LovePhals! Is it otherwise healthy? Getting enough sunlight and water? I hope it blooms for you soon! What kind is it?

As far as I know I'm caring for it properly, lots of sun and new growths but my new growths are small. I have tried to increase fertilizer to see if that helps. It is a Bulbophyllum putidum that I have.

KonaLinda, cocoinum looks the closest out of all the guesses so far. We'll see in a few days, I guess!

LovePhals, I wish I had more experience to help you figure out what is the problem... Are your conditions favorable to keep them outside? I find that outdoor time is the best thing I ever do for my plants.

I actually recently moved it outside with my other outdoor orchids, but my outdoor weather is coming to an end soon. Thanks for the advice!

Wish I could give more. I even searched around for a while and didn't find much other than the usual: light, fertilizer and water. The leaves on most flowering bulbos I found were bright yellow-green so if yours are darker, it could confirm a light problem.

So exiting. I only have 2 Bulbo's and haven't even had my longest one a year. I sure can't wait to see if I can get a bloom though.
Very happy for you.

Well it's certainly looking like a cocoinum now! It is fully bloomed! I wish I could post scents because it has the most wonderful coconut aroma.
