Bulbophyllum macranthum semi-alba: what to expect?
As part of my effort to increase my collection in the "pleasantly fragrant bulbophyllum" category, I recently purchased a Bulbophyllum macranthum "semi-alba" from ebay. The seller didn't provide any pictures of the flowers, but the price was right so I bought it.
Anyway while I wait for it to arrive (and then wait for it to flower), does anybody have any idea what kind of flower I can expect to see from a "semi-alba" form of this plant? The closest I can find on Google is a full alba.
I don't think there is a semi alba. The normal macranthum as white in it
It's true that macranthum has a white background, but there does seem to be a lot of variation in the center of the flower, from white to greenish, to bright yellow.
The full alba version is all white with no spotting...so who knows?

Well, it arrived today, so I figured I'd post a pic or two. The seller said he believes it came from a Thai breeder, but the tag indicates that it is from one Okika nursery. I found a nursery by that name in Hawaii, but their phone number had been disconnected. Guess I'll just have to wait until it flowers to know what it will look like.
Yes, it arrived in excellent condition. The photo was taken maybe a half hour after taking it out of the box. The roots were in great shape as well. I removed it from the pot but left the potting media on the roots and made a sort of kokedama around it before tying it to the mount. It was originally potted in coconut husk and expanded glass.
