In general, bulbos seem to be pretty easy as long as they get enough light and enough water. They are water loving little guys, but like any orchid, too much and they rot. I keep my bulbo sitting in a saucer of water. It has some hydroton pebbles in the bottom of its cup to weight it down a bit, then I have it potted in a layer of bark mixed with moss on top of the hydroton, then a layer of just pure NZ sphag on top of the bark/moss mix. As soon as I potted it up this way, I started seeing new root growth after a year of pretty much nothing. I refill the saucer when it's dry and I fertilize once a week like I do with all of my other orchids. This method is working for me so far. It's going to be a while before this thing is blooming size, but I finally have it growing, so I'm calling it a win.
Hope this helps you some!
Edit: I forgot to add, one thing that I learned here on OB that none of the culture sheets told me, was that my bulbo (not medusae) needed cattleya light. They all said "partial shade" which turned out to be incorrect. I have it growing next to my brassavola nodsa and cattleya walkeriana. It seems to love this spot.
