I just wanted to update this thread because I'm so excited; here is the orchid today and it has 3 spikes (that I can see)! I'll post more pictures once it opens.

Just looked it up and WOW...what a flower you're gonna get! It's on my GET LIST...IF I can manage the cooler temps it seems to need. Let us know progress!

I grow this one intermediate. It's in an orb situated on a southern facing windowsill because of it's location, in the winter its cooler and in the summer it's warmer. It also gets much more then the recommended amount of light.
