Oh but I love me some bulbos more than paphs/phrags as well. I agree with their wildly growing patterns as well.
Thank you for the visit and nice comments, Kindra. I do love bulbos because to me they scream, "fun"! They are so unique and different.

I am wary of Bulbos and Masdies because I have a dry environment in my apartment. But I try very much to create the atmosphere they are used to in situ because I just love the way the flowers are engineered by nature and the colors are a joy to behold.

I totally understand that. In the winter, most of my Bulbos are situated very close the the humidifier, additionally they each have their own humidity trays. I buy precut fruit that comes in sturdy, square, clear plastic containers, which works as a perfect humidity tray to place my mounts in. Plus it looks neat and organized because they match my circle saucers. I put sand pebbles in my humidity trays because the color is soft and looks good with both clay pots and any type of mount.

A great Bulbo, I think you got the name right, though I am no expert.

I really like this one. with a lilac smell too!I have just started to add some Bulbo's. no flowers yet. but I am learning they need a lot more humidity than I thought. So I have started to adjust for their needs. Please cross your fingers for me.

Thanks, Lynn! I really like Bulbos, my solarium has been nice and humid after adding some humidifiers and humidity trays. If you need more humidity, creating some trays would be a great option. What Bulbos do you currently have?
