This is my baby bulbo macranthum; its just a tiny thing now. I have it with my larger schomburgkia in a vanda basket, hanging outside. I have had it for almost a month. While I can*t tell if it has any actual roots vs moss pieces its happy and green still.

These are found growing in trees in the forest of Thailand, Malaysia, Borneo, to Papua New Guinea....since this is an equatorial orchid, it needs to be evenly moist and do not allow to dry out....I remember reading a member posting that this was placed on top of a saucer of water indoors....

whatever you are doing is working for this plant....notice the leaves have the jade color green....it means you are giving it the correct lighting.

I also noticed on the second picture some fungi starting to infest the edge of the leaf....cut it out before it spreads. That black spot with yellow ring around it is fungus. Spray your plant with anti fungal just to make sure it doesn't spread to the other leaves.

Its a happy little thing, it sits on top of the moss just barely inside of it enough to be stable, the larger schom keep it partially shaded, but still lit up lol. I spray the tops of the moss every morning on my way to school; also late in the evening around 5 on really warm days.

Also fertilize weakly about every 4 days and seaweed extract once a week.

The last 2-3 days we have been having heavy rainy weather with lots of humidity. So it is especially happy these last few days lol!!

I am not sure, I did use Physan only for disinfecting my growing area, but hot water? is it really good and safe for the plant?

not HOT more like warmish. Sorry lol. I put physan 20 in my soak water as preventative each week trying to keep this from happening. Hoping since I moved them from the greenhouse they will perk back up and the fungus disappear.

Maybe I'm not seeing things correctly but it looks like you have those 2 plants planted a bit too deeply. It's best not to bury the growths...but rather have them skimming the top of the medium.

If my eyes aren't playing tricks on me...you can gently lift those a bit and that should do the trick.
