Bulbophyllum fascinator first bloom
All these teenage plants I acquired over the last year or so are coming into bloom. Today's jewel is an explosion of colour and texture

does this one stink? I had heard a lot about the smell and decided to sniff one at a nursery. I forget which bulbo it was, it was the only one in bloom, but geez - what a stink !!! I can't even describe it.....stinky socks/shoes...wet mould......stink bug. Never. Again.
I have a biflorum in bud - it apparently doesn't "stink", but I will soon know.

Yes, it does. Mildly though. You really have to be up in the flower to smell it. It smells of day-old squid.
