Look at the warty lip!


Close up:


Flower is about as big as my hand, but I am pretty happy with it.


Oh! And I almost forgot! The smell is not so bad about 1 foot+ away. Unfortunately I was curious and stuck my nose right in the flower.

Beautiful! I actually have a Bulbo. echinolabium x caraniculatum, flowers are a bit more yellow and the bottom petals (or sepals? =/) are more pendant.

The stench is indeed very bearable as long as you don't actually go smell the flower on purpose

top 10 wish list for me.....is readily available here for cheap in indonesia

folks at home tossed them out, twice I got them to bloom....doesnt help my bulbo stands are right under the kitchen window

perhaps different growing environment gives different "fragrance". I kept reading that folks dont really smell them unless you are really close to it, but here they stunk the whole garden...
