Does anyone else see the plant giving us a "raspberry"?

What a beauty, Laura! Just how big is this flower? Like Kim, I haven't had much to do with bulbophyllums but I've been given a longissimum and I hope I won't kill it. It was in coco fiber and I've left it there. We'll see!

Oh Gosh, the flowers are long gone, but if I remember correctly they are about 2-3 inches long and a half inch wide.
My Bulbos have been very easy growers, although it did take some of them over a year to bloom for me. I thought they needed shadier conditions, but they seemed to bloom better for me with more light.

I just bought one of these last week that was blooming nicely, but two days later the bloom was totally gone. Either they have a short blooming cycle or they are sensitive to being moved. What's typical?

Well, usually mine get eaten by something in the greenhouse that I haven't been able to catch...
When they don't get eaten they last about 7-10 days typically. Usually they blast due to a temperature change.
