Bulb longisepalum
Hello all, This is my first post here.
My friend gave me 3 divided pseudo bulbs of this species several years ago. It grew relatively slower than other bulbos, and not bloomed until total 12 pseudo bulbs in pot. Flowers have alien looking with concentrated fishy scent...

Very unusual - it looks like if you bred rothschildianum to micholitzii or grandiforum, this would be the bloom.
If it doesn't smell any worse than the echiolabium I could live with it. In fact I may have to go shopping to see if I can find one. Thanks for the temptation.

Very neat flowers. Concentrated fishy scent, interesting. Notice how I didn't use the word fragrance!

It doesn’t necessarily smell obviously bad as what I met. So I think it maybe better than of echiolabium. It's common species in flower market of our country, but it’s a pity I couldn’t share you some divisions oversea. Good luck with your shipping

This is a very unusual and cool looking species! The description of the scent reminds me of Bulbo. graveolens. Pretty powerful stuff!

If you don't mind me asking, how do you grow this? I have one at home, but I can't get it to flower. From what you said about yours having 12 bulbs, I'm starting to think mine might still be just a baby...

It's not hard to grow and if its matured you don't need a huge plant for it to bloom. Keep it warm, moist and in bright shade. Good luck!
