This is the 8th or 9th flower on this spike. 5 bulbs, 1 spike, and the nickname Big Stink.

It is such a lovely flower and I like the subtle color and form...too bad it stinks...you must be very brave to have it around your home

To be honest, it is living in the garage grow area. However, it doesn't smell unless you are pretty close to it. It doesn't stink up the room or anything. But I try to stay a foot away from it when it blooms.

Jonada - I love the color, most that I have seen are much darker. I prefer this one much more.

When mine would bloom I would always trick unsuspecting visitors into getting there nose real close for a good sniff. I never tired of that prank.

I have been very kind to those who have viewed the plant. I always warn them. However, you would be surprised how many still stick their nose in there.

I of course would to the opposite. Apparently it's advised to have a bucket handy for some bulbos when you play this trick. It's particularly effective if you start with some things that smell nice.
