Have any of you ever used a Swampstick for Bulbos? Have you had any luck with them?

I have a tiny frostii, and would like to mount it on a swampstick, hoping it will stay moist a little longer. It is now on a stick but it dries out so fast. I don't have a greenhouse and find that it needs more moisture than I can give it in my home.

Try emailing Jesse of Gro In Hydro and Swampstick: (www.growinhydro.com). He should be abl to tell you if a Bulbo would be a good candidate or not. I have a seeding phal and two seedling cattlaya hybrids mounted. Sor far they seem to be doing well.

Becca

Thanks for the info about Swampsticks. I did get in touch with him. He was very helpful, and I ordered 2 small ones. One on a base and the other without. I liked them so much I ordered 4 more in the med size. I think they are going to be just what I was looking for. Here is a photo of my tingabarinum in it. I was so excited about mounting, it and didn't have any fish line, so I impovised with a cord I had in the house. I bought fish line today and have re-done it. It looks nicer now with out the cord showing.

It is hollow inside so it can be filled with water to help keep it moist. It works great.

Also a photo of it in bloom before it mounted it.
