Bulbophyllum dearei

Its been six years. I have no idea where I bought it. But back then it most probably would have been from one of the online orchid stores, Andys or Parkside orchids. Something along those lines, maybe even Littlefrog orchids.

I moved the tanks where it grows up to my office on the second floor of the building where I work. During the summer there is no direct sunlight, but due to the proximity of the windows, its much brighter than the room it used to be in. In the winter time, the sun actually shoots its rays into the room (lower position of the sun in the sky). So lately it has been bathing that terrarium/orchidarium with mottled direct rays from the sun for a few hours in the morning, and then again in the afternoon when direct sunlight reflects from a glass door cabinet opposite the tanks. Also I recently changed the light bulbs to two 65watt 6500K CFLs.

Yes Tindomul,the color is amazing and your pictures are wonderful,congratulation,it is a stunning bulbo.

The flower still looks just as fresh and good on Dec. 10th. Hope it lasts a bit longer. Very surprised by its longevity.
