Bulbo Elizabeth Ann 'Buckleberry'
I bought this at an orchid show at the weekend. I know everyone seems to call this Cirrhopetalum rather than Bulbophylum but it was sold to me as Bulbophylum and I'm not sure which is the more up to date name.
I thought the flowers were fully open, but looking at this thread I now think they may have further to open. Cirrhopetalum Elizabeth Ann Buckleberry (in bloom)
I do think the colour has got a little pinker since I took these pics and since I bought it, which as other peoples pictures do look a bit pinker than mine was to begin with, that also makes me think the flowers are still developing.
The plant seems pretty large and healthy to me. With signs of pretty recent growth and possible another flower spike starting (I think). It was pretty cheap and I would have paid more for it... it was almost like one she'd just put on the stand to see if she could sell it, unlike the others were there were several of each plant in standard shape pots.
Anyway, I love it

The recognized name per Kew and RHS register of hybrids is Bulbophyllum.

Yes, the name Cirrhopetalum is no longer accepted as anything but a synonym.

Thats the name I also found out in my research on this plant(thats why I put it on the bulbophyllum alliance)...but since I am not entering any competition and I only grow mainly for my own satisfaction...I guess I will stay with what I got as a tag, I will stay with Cirhopetallum as a tag even if in the future it will have a name change(until they stop at a final name for this in 2050maybe, just before I die)...I guess the grower I got it from still lives in the 60's era

Thanks everyone
Xenophon, I can't take credit for these flowers... I just bought it on Saturday.
The flowers have started getting fatter as Bud suggested they would over on his thread. They have also lifted to a higher angle rather than being downward pointing. I also think the colour is improving every time I really hope they don't blast due to having moved location on Saturday

They wont blast on you...it will open and bloom to its glory for you have been growing orchids for so long; you know exactly what to do with that plant. Trust your instincts. Id give you full credit for that flowering plant; since it was on your watch that it decided to open its blooms...
