recently got this plant in spike from a local nursery and the owner said that it was a new bulbophyllum from Taiwan (Am not sure if it Originates from Taiwan or was just shipped from Taiwan) And it bloomed for me today, Any clues on what it maybe? Closest match was Bulbophyllum Carunculatum, Does not smell bad though.
Could be amplebracteatum, which looks a lot like carunculatum with some subtle differences. There also seem to be a number of undescribed species in section Lepidorhiza that pop up in the trade from time to time.
Hmmm... from the few photos I've been able to find it looks like the lip of amplebracteatum does have some bumpy protuberances on the upper part, hard to tell the extent though especially compared to carunculatum. The lip color and overall shape of Xenophon's flower look more like amplebracteatum to me, though, carunculatum seems flatter with a very dark almost black lip.
I have an amplebracteatum division (labeled that, at least) that hasn't bloomed for me yet. I'll check with the person I got it from to see if hers has a rugose lip.
