Default Bulb. Jersey 'Matt'

This is a plant that I recently obtained from Wilbur Chang of Kaneohe, Hawaii. The plant was already in bloom when I got it. It is in a 2-inch plastic pot with New Zealand Sphagnum moss as the media. The flower on the right lost its pollen cap.

I erroneously put this thread in the wrong Orchid Alliance. Hopefully, one of the moderators will put this into the Bulbophyllum Alliance. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks everyone, especially Rosie for putting this thread in the correct Alliance. The flowers on this plant caught my eye because of their color and large size. I was surprised no one else grabbed the plant before I did.

It's gorgeous, Mel, but I know a lot of people think all Bulbos have a bad smell ! I DO detect echinolabium in your hybrid, have you noticed a smell yet ?

Mel - If you ever decide to divide this plant, I would love to but a piece.

Lepidorhiza section is where echinolabium is and Sestochilus section is where lobbii is. It's got a bit of each in it, you could say it's a longer lobbii or a shorter echinolabium ! IMHO
.
