Default Bulbophylum Jersey - My first rebloom

My one and only Bulbo, Bulbophylum Jersey has rebloomed for the first time

The dorsal sepal curles back a long way, and the petals will curl back further and further as the flower ages, then uncurl again shortly before the flower fades. Last time they got to the point of crossing over behind the flower before they uncurled.

The lip is delicately balanced and rocks really well at the slightest movement of the flower.

Congrats! Very pretty flower, and a unusual one. Wasn't that the neatest feeling when that flower finally opened! You gotta get more. Love those bulbos!!!!!

Thanks everyone. It's always such a good feeling to get the first home grown bloom on a plant.

I do think I'll have to get more bulbos now. This one seems happy with my care, so I think it's time to branch out and try others

Good growing. I've also added more bulbos to my collection because of their unique forms, shapes and colors. I've found them quite easy to grow and they seem to bloom all the time. The only drawback on many bulbos is the short lives of their blooms.

I'm disapointed that this faded earlier in the week, only a couple of days after opening. I'm sure it lasted nearer a week, or just over a week last time

The second spike also blasted at the same time and I am wondering if I let it get a bit over-dry because the p-bulb beside the flower stem and one other looks more wrinkled than I remember.

I still have a third spike growing and looking healthy. Fingers crossed it opens
