Nat - Thank you, I agree that it will be interesting to see what kind of parent it makes being that it has not been used as of yet. I can only hope that it would be dominant for color, flower count and plant size, given that, the possibilities would be endless. Could you imagine it crossed with longissimum, 6-8 13 inch long orange flowers on a diminutive plant. I can't wait!!

Oooo! I agree, the possibilities are endless within the Bulbophyllum genus! With a couple thousand species to breed with, I think it would take a LOOONG time just to do all the primary hybrids! I do hope that at least two of my Bulbo's I am getting soon bloom this winter, as I know that it would be impossible for me to resist breeding with them!

longissimum x hirundinis does sound like a terrific hybrid, Glen. Bill certainly has a great 'stable' of stud plants to work with, I look forward to seeing what he comes up with using hirundinis!
