Default Bulbophyllum moniliforme

A miniature Bulbo that I've been growing for a few months. It has put out about 20-30 new pbulbs since I got it, and just bloomed for the first time for me. It has at least 7 more buds that will bloom in the next week or so.

I have noticed that the bloom opens early morning, but closes by mid day, and then repeats the same thing again the next day. So far the bloom has lasted about 5 days.

Very nice! Your plant looks happy and healthy. Can you give us some details of how you're growing it (temp ranges, humidity and water, light, etc.)? Thanks!

I will try to give you some info, but I don't really keep an eye on the temps too much. I am growing this in my house, in front of an ESE facing window. It gets sun shining on it for at least a few hours every morning. The temperature in the house gets to 77 before the a/c comes on....with the sun shining on it, I assume it gets over 80 degrees in that window. Also, the humidity usually stays between 55-75% on the humidity gauge. I take it to the sink and run water on it once a day.

Thanks psyc! I've been told these are hard to keep alive, but that sounds pretty much like how I grow a lot of bulbos in my kitchen except the windows there are WSW. Maybe I need to try one of these...

How cool!

I've not dared try the tiny Bulbos. Was looking at one at a show, but chickened out of buying.
