Bulbophyllum biflorum
Cheated on this one. Acquired a cutting already in spike. Fragrant. Reminds me of watermelon rinds.

Beautiful! When you say fragrant...do you mean fragrant as in nice or fragrant as in stinky?
Bulbos scare me

Don't be surprised Dave, if other folks describe the fragrance differently.
When my B ornatissimum was in bloom I got all sorts of different descriptions regarding its fragrance ... from "fish" to candy. LOL

Love those bulbo's in s only With such a moody aroma, I think not...but they do have gorgeous blooms.
Cheating is not in the orchid dictionary. Just call it a lucky catch

How about the nicer side of mildly stinky??
The sense of smell is a peculiar thing. The scent is not strong and i have to get close to smell it. Its not a repulsive smell at all.
Last year there was a Bulbo phalaenopsis in a display at a show. I bent in for a good whiff, and it was bad. I processed the stench for a few seconds, then took one more. I suddenly felt sick to my stomach. That one is repulsive.

I have a ridiculously keen sense of smell...and I guess I've chosen the wrong bulbos to sniff because every time...BLECHHHH!
