Without seeing the pseudobulbs, it rather reminds me of a scaphosepalum. I would agree that if you could post a pic of the base of the leaves it would be most helpful in identification.
In my non-expert opinion, it does look like a bulbo.
The trick with Bulbo's seems to be keeping them somewhat moist throughout their growing season. Sometimes, mounting just doesn't do the trick. Perhaps this is why it never bloomed for her?
It is a great specimen though! Once it blooms, someone here might be able to give you an exact name for it.
It does look like a Bulbophyllum and it seems to be very happy in its mount. I see green roots and new leads growing. Looks very healthy too. Hot porch with shade sounds good. You can keep them with the Phals. They can take that light but not much more.
Try weaving some sphagnum moss around the roots.
Keep the moss moist by watering 1-2x a day.
Use an MSU type formula.
Let it have a 20 degree temp difference between night and day if possible.
Should get some blooms!
