Default Bulbophyllum Jersy - noob & pics

here are a few old pics of my 6 week old (to me) Orchid i got from a place up the coast...

it will have new flowers soon, budding now....

pretty cool how elegant and unusual it is

how big do the Jersey get? they are rainforest dwellers? soil is a very light medium.

I'm afraid the pictures aren't working for me.

I have this one but I'm very unsure how to care for it (only had it since November).

Mine is growing in fine bark. I keep it in the house, but in one of the cooler rooms. It gets east sun which is quite dim so far since I bought it. I was told by the nursary that this one is best to dry out between waterings and that's what I've been doing.

I've been told buds can blast really easily. On mine the bigger bud when I bought it flowered, but the smaller one blasted.

Mine now has a new growth, so I hope I can work out how to care for it and keep that going

That's really cool!

I found that the two petals curled right arround backwards until they were crossing each other. They moved backwards over several days after it opened. Shortly before the flower faded it started to uncurl.

thanks

bad news is the other bud blasted - went on a trip for 5 days, so took her to my parents to care for/enjoy, and i doubt they did anything wrong, but change of environ might have unsettled it?

good news is there are another two spikes on the front bulbs!

it has been spiking & flowering since before christmas

pretty sure (but not 100%) these will be the last before she drops all her leaves for winter...
