Actually, I think this species is supposed to be one of the more pleasantly scented bulbophyllums. Most bulbos seem to attract flies as pollinators, but since not all flies are carrion-eaters there are a number of species with sweet, fruity, musky, etc. fragrances. I don't grow this one but I have a Bulb. odoratissimum that to me smells just like Froot Loops!
