Default Will Elizabeth Ann flower?

I recently bought this one, Bulbo. Elizabeth Ann, I thought the buds were blasted but looking at these posts around today, I'm wondering does this have a chance of opening? Or is this all I'm gonna get?

It looks like you've got five flowers well on the way and another nice spike forming. Be careful staking Bulbo spikes, sometimes they bloom funny if they feel 'cramped.' Nice growing!

Wow! now, I'm excited, You've made my day

This is such a different orchid for me, I was planning on mounting this on a wood slated frame. So, I'll wait till blooming is over, then should I use a little spag on the frame? It's in spag and coconut fiber now.

Does this take any special winter care, here in Florida, it doesn't stay cold long. How much heat will it take.? Any special tricks to keeping this one going. Can't imigine it doing well inside mounted like was said in that other post. I can hardly wait for the blooms to open. Yea!!!!!!

I don't know about outside. Mine is hung by a window and I am in Indiana. So it stays inside most of the year. But mine does well inside hung with regular watering. Yours looks GREAT can't wait to see the pictures of it totally bloomed. They are a great orchid for any collector.

You're doing just fine. It will take a few more weeks and this is what you should have...

A wood slatted frame should work great, and I would suggest using a generous amount of sphagnum on it. Keep it out of direct sunlight, fertilize and water frequently and it should grow and bloom like crazy for you.

This particular hybrid seems pretty temperature-tolerant; in general it'll love warm to hot days and tolerate cool nights (probably as low as mid-40s) as long as it gets a warmer spell in the daytime. Good luck, and congrats on those developing blooms!

Is that open or are you still waiting.? I see yours is mounted, did you mount it yourself.? How long did it take to start growing again? They said two weeks , to open that's going to be a long time to me. My grandmother use to say the watched pot never boils?
Kind of nice having a orchid named after you huh?

It did take a few weeks to bloom. But it is so worth the wait.

But I got mine as a gift and it was already mounted for me. Sorry I can't be of more help on that.

Any pictures yet?
