Bulbo re-potting help
Default Bulbo re-potting help

Hello!

recently I re-potted mounted bulbos, because I can't provide enough water to them. As potting medium I used pine bark with drainage layer at the bottom of the pot. My questions:

1. Should I add some perlite or moss or is pine bark ok?
2. If so, can I re-potted it again without damaging plants?
3. I use transparent plastic pots, about 10cm height. Today I got the advice, that pot should be as shallow as possible and they should be in ceramic pots.

Sorry for the questions, I got these plants from my friend who cannot take care for them and I am new to bulbos. Thanks for any advice.

You can use bark, but you may find better results using just sphagnum.
How shallow? 2-4" should be fine.
The roots will go as deep as they need.
Plastic pots is fine, as is ceramic.
You just don't want the bulbos to dry out.
A regular clay pot will dry out too fast.
