What is this? (Bulbo medusae)

Sandy, I've got to say that bulb looks very healthy to me but there are those who would say, "I know nothing!" Anyway, from the pics, it could be just natural aging of the PB.... having said that, the 2nd pic definitely has a problem. From the 1st pic, however, the PB's look good even the ones that have lost their leaves.... here are 2 of mine. As you can see the 1st has some yellowed PB circled that have lost their leaves and some that are turning yellow and will over the next several months drop off. The 2nd pic is a Cirr and you can see it is natural to lose leaves and the PB on these have shriveled up, probably because I haven't cared for it properly.

And, NO, you're not going to give up this easily... and if you're not careful, next time I'm down there, I may just have to knock some sense into your head...

So maybe, this is the natural order of things with the first Bulbo? (If so, there's hope). And I agree about the B. rothschildianum - that's the newest bulb also and it never looked good, always off in color compared to the rest but, it's the one that also put out the spike so I can't figure this out?????

Doc, what medium are you using for your Bulbo's?

P.S. Next time you're down this way, let me know. That one vendor I told you about last year, get's hundreds of new Phals every 10 days (or less...depending on how many I bought that week). Seriously, from mid Feb. through July, it's Phal frenzy there.
