Bulbophyllum phaleanopsis

I have had this guy for about 8 years now and this is the first time I have flowered it.

It is said to smell like a herd of 100 dead elephants,

and has the unfortunate appearance of car crash victim with severe head trauma

The bulbs are about the size of an orange, the leaves are about 2 1/2 feet long and the panicle of flowers is about 11 inches across

A truly ugly but spectacular orchid
