So I got this orchid on e-bay, a Bulbophyllum rothschildianum, and as I was researching it I came across conflicting info.
I know common pollinators of this group are flies, meaning putrid scented flowers. But one source told me that this variety, the rothschildianum, smells like ripe peaches while another source says that this variety smells like bad fish. Anyone out there actually grown or smelled this species?
I'm excited either way, the blossoms are so unique in this Genus. Oh yeah, does this one like to be mounted? Im a newbie also so if anyone has cultural tips that would be cool.
