Bulb longiflorum, a gift from Laura
Laura stopped by this week to pick up her portion of the Masdies we bought from IN Komoda and she came bearing gifts
This one is in bloom (as you can see...duh!) and the other Bulb is in bud!
Thanks Laura

LOL...yes, that's me
Laura knows she'd never hear the end of it if she brought me one that I could smell without getting up close
By the way, I had to change the name of the thread, I had the tags mixed up

lol oh Sue This is a cute little one. You know how I feel about stinky plants, so I'm glad to hear you can tolerate it

That is a real cutie.
As usual Sue, the blue of your pool sets it off wonderfully, but makes me wonder which I am more envious of on this cold day in the UK

There was a discrepancy in the name tags of the two plants Laura bought over. This one said Bulb brachtelatum and the other said Bulb longiflorum . When I was researching them, this one didn't look like all the other Bulb brachteolatum pictures I was seeing so the research continued.
What I found was that this one should have also had the longiflorum name on the tag. It was once known as Bulb eberhardtii but the name has now been changed to longiflorum...which makes no sense to me because they look totally different except for the way the blooms come out.
Anyway, the other plant had buds on it which have now bloomed, looking like the pictures I had seen of longiflorum...confusing, right?
How odd is this? These pictures are both of plants named Bulb longiflorum!
The first one is Bulb longiflorum (formerly Bulb eberhardtii) and the second one is Bulb longiflorum too
