Default medusae blooms

Awhile back i put a few photos of this plwnt on the forum asking what the growths were on it. Alot of people suggested it was new vegutative growths. I am happy to report that they were actually bloom spikes. So below I have posted a few pictures of its first blooming for me in my care!

Great pics, and great growing job! My medusae is spiking right now (three spikes), and I can't wait for them to open!

Congratulations - aren't they the most unique things you've ever seen. Everyone needs a medusae!

That is BEAUTIFUL !!!! I must add a medusae to my collection. I've heard that the petals are sticky. Is this true??

Congrats on the blooms!! I've been wanting one ever since I saw a picture of a speciment sized plant with 110 spikes. I heard it was a wam grower though, is that true? I do only cool and intermediate orchids.

mine for lack of space is grown in a wardian case with pleurothallids. Seems to be doing just fine other than the growth has been slowed down.

wow just noticed this but what an odd smell! Not exactly stinky but then again not that pleasant either. Smells kind of musky and yeasty at the same time. To answer the question about if the blooms are sticky? Yes the filaments seem to adhere very easily to one another.
I think these are some much better shots of the blooms.

Interesting! In the original pics the blooms appear "yellow" but in these they appear "white"
