I have a number of bulbos and none of them stink. Please keep doing a little research and asking questions, and I think you'll discover a number of these critters are quite nice. Besides, does a little "eau de OH!" preclude us appreciating all the other fine qualities of color, form, etc? Good luck and enjoy...

I saw a Bulb. ambrosia at an orchid display and it smelled so sweet that it took a minute for my nose to register it. The flowers are so cute and tiny!

Yes, I have an ambrosia, too, and mine smells so nice. Perhaps a variation in sunlight and temp. may make the difference in degree of scent? May I recommend Andy's Orchids if you would like a mounted ambrosia..

I'm curious, how do you have your bulbo's planted/mounted? Dekejis Bulbophyllum Alliance 20 04-29-2008 10:54 PM
