Bulbophyllum Daisy Chain
I think I'm feeling a little excited. I just noticed today, this plants first spike since I got it last April.
Should I get excited and do the happy dance?

Thanks Tindomul. I'm always giving them something, every watering (2-3 days), sometimes Floralicious or, liquid seaweed or, reg. food or, bloom booster. About twice/month, I flush with plain water.
P.S. I see you're from Queens. Me too! Where?

They look an awful lot like lepidum and one can see nothing of Bulbophyllum makoyanum in them. Never seen the other parent in the flesh but from pictures I cannot see anything of it in the photos either. What is the verdict of the jury?

Mike, the pictures are of Daisy Chain...with their tags having the Cirrhopetalum genus on the tag. It is now known as Bulb Daisy Chain
Most of the Cirr family have been changed to Bulbophyllums but there are still some that haven't been changed.

Hi Sandy,
I live in Elmhurst. Now that I see the blooms in other plants, I really can't wait to see yours bloom.
I believe that not fertilizing enough is my downfall with Bulbo's & Alliance. I fertilize maybe once or twice a month, if I remember to do so. I'm surprised I get any blooms from any of my plants.
